Biography
Chris Price is a composer and programmer from Spokane Washington. His role as both a developer and musician lets him combine his talents by creating successful music applications and teaching in unique way.
Chris Price is a Spokane Washington based composer and programmer, writing for many ensembles across the world and working as an educator in high school and drum corps settings. Chris achieved a degree in music from Whitworth University, where he learned several important skills as a composer and arranger. His programming skills allow him to create software based around music, as well as letting him serve others through web and software development. Chris built his own publishing website where he showcases his music.
Chris Price is a Spokane Washington based composer and programmer who's abilities spans several creative disciplines. As a musician, Chris not only writes music but also teaches music in both high school and drum corps ensembles. Every Monday and Tuesday night, Chris plays jazz with different ensembles in Spokane to test out arrangements and to further his playing abilities. He attends SFCC to play in their big band where he picked up saxophone to help be able to teach woodwinds. Although brass and piano are Chris' primary instruments, Chris is able to play stringed instruments, woodwinds, and some percussion. Chris graduated from Whitworth University in 2022, where he achieved a degree in music with a focus on composition. During that time he played in the Whitworth Wind Symphony and Jazz I on trombone. Chris also has drum crops experience, playing marching euphonium in Columbians 17', 18', and 19' as well as playing baritone during the inaugural season of the Boise Gems Drum & Bugle corps where he also wrote their music. To this day, Chris works closely with the corps, writing for them alongside Cooper Phillips, teaching music and visual, and also developing their website and mobile app. Outside of music, Chris is also an avid programmer, creating software for personal business ventures as well as other companies. Marching Mapper is one of Chris' biggest project, which is used by ensembles all over the world and is constantly updated. During his free time Chris enjoys hanging with friends, swing dancing, rock climbing, and buffalo wild wings. "I can never sit still" is his motto.
